Mobile phone service comparison help?

Hey everyone,

So today I found a phone I really liked, the Huawei Ideos. however, at my local retailer its $99 dollars for the Vodafone prepaid but an extra 100 dollars for the unlocked version!

I only have $99 dollars (and I was very lucky to get it! But that's another story) and I was wondering, is vodafone really that bad or should I just save up ANOTHER a hundred dollars?

Also, What's Vodafone's closest thing to 1c text and how does it work?

Points to consider:

.Incase your wondering, I live in a pretty common suburb area; not rural or anything, we can get wifi here and all that.

.I would probably be texting more than calling, but occasionally I would make calls to (mainly to my parents)

.I really want the best value, but I son't want to be missing out on too much!
