YU-GI-OH: Fiber Jar Effect Activated If Destroyed By Trap Card?
Hello! Yu-gi-oh question, sorry, people go insane from crazy arguments on yu-gi-oh lol!
An already placed fiber jar was on my side of field, my opponent placed an trap card face down, end his turn. My turn began, i flipped Fiber jar, yet my opponent flipped his trap card that destroys my fiber jar. does my effect work before his trap and destroy his trap or does his work before mine?
thank you, confusion going on! lol

I don't know what the card is but here is what i can tell you
1. "Destroy" does not mean "Negate".
2. "Negate" the effect of something would do just that, negate the effect XD.
3. "Negate and Destroy" would negate your Fiber Jar's effect and destroys it. Thus your Fiber Jar's effect would not go off.

Flip Effects will resolve unless they are "Negated" or the Summon of the Monster with the Flip Effect is Negated.
Therefore, if your opponent used Solemn Warning or Solemn Judgment on the Summon of Fiber Jar, then you get no effect.
If your opponent used Divine Wrath on your Fiber Jar, you get no effect.
But, if your opponent simply used Torrential Tribute or Ring of Destruction on your Fiber Jar, then Fiber Jar will be destroyed, but the Flip Effect will still resolve last.

The only traps that would work against that are ones that negate a summon ie: Solemn Judgement/Warning and other such cards. If he activated a trap hole or Torrential Tribute, then the Fiber Jar effect goes off.

Yes, the effect still activates.
Unless the card NEGATES or if the effect of the monster is negated for example (effect veiler, skill drain, or forbidden lace) the summon of the monster the effect is still activated.

Your occasion does comply to the regulations, so which you're able to do this. the way traps enjoying cards artwork is basically a card that keeps to be a secret to the opponent and you unharness the superb tension on the surprising timing. in case you positioned a catch on your turn, you're allowed to play it as quickly because it is your opponent's turn (or in different phrases, their draw section, in spite of the undeniable fact that maximum traps do no longer activate in the process the drawing section). you do no longer would desire to rapidly activate a catch on your opponent's turn, you return to a decision whilst it is optimal to apply it. you could activate traps on your turn too, yet examine the top result, it would desire to in basic terms be used whilst it is your opponent's turn.
