Hey Volleyball players! Please Answer This Question?
Okay, so I'm 13, 5ft4" 136lbs, I was on My school volleyball team last year, and I had no prior training, but the first week of August I'm taking a 4 day volleyball camp at my local college, I have tryouts the first week of school 8/22-8/26, what drills can I do to prepare for the camp? I live on 20 acres so I have plenty of room outside, and my own volleyball, also can you wash kneepads? My friends mom washed and dried hers and they shrunk! So should I just let them airdry? I cant take the pad part out though because I have the Mizuno (spelling) ones that covers abovr & below your knees, the small kneepads slip and slide and mine are comfortable. Anyways thanks in advance! An any other advice would be appreciated! Oh and my volleyball shoes are Asics gel ones in white/silver I like them cause of their comfyness (: lol

Heyy! Haha I'm 13 and 5ft4" too:) Well anyways i've been playing club for 3 going on 4 years now! The best ways to prepare yourself are by doing a lot of cardio and stomach workouts. For my highschool training I've been doing p90x "ab ripper" If you don't have it it's on YouTube! Also I suggest sit ups (crunch style) about 100 each day! 10-20 Push-Ups each day and jump rope 5 minutes a day! If you don't have a jump or or you're just lazy (like me) just pretend you have a jump rope in your hand and do about 100 jumps! You will see it will work your calves! Jumping Jacks aslo work your calve.
Since you mentioned a lot of land you can run a mile every day or just do what I do: The indoor stuff like abs, pretend jump rope, jumping jacks! All this stuff will help with cardio which will also help to loose weight!
Ohh and yeah you can wash Mizuno knee pads just don't dry them! Air-dry is good! Good luck and hope you make the team your striving for! Ask me if you need anything:)

To prepare for your camp, and more importantly for tryouts, I would recommend practicing passing, serving and setting. I would say hitting, but considering your just in middle school(I'm assuming because of your age) you do not do much hitting, But you can practice that as well if you like.
You can practice passing against your garage or have another person throw the ball to you and try to get it right back to them. Also have them throw the ball slightly away from you and try to pass it back to them since in a real game, th ball will not always come right to you. You can also practice serving against your garage, by measuring where the endline of the court would be on the driveway and how highthe net would be on the garage.
As for your kneepads question, I wash and dry mine all the time and their fine, but if your worried about them shrinking then just dont dry them. But dont just not wash them that would be gross haha
Hope I helped, good luck at camp and try Outs!

If you should be a basketball playerand you would like your game to become more complete then you need to jump higher, really jump larger with 9 to 15 inches with the aid of the program https://tr.im/4QSrJ , the Vert Shock program.
There are lots of basketball players out there who share the same aim and would need to increase their vertical jump enough to eventually manage to dunk and you are able to do that in only 8 week with the Vert Shock program.
The workouts do not need any large weight-lifting and all the instruction contains weight workouts, leaps, and sprints, occasionally you will use a basketball and all your progress will be available in the exercise blankets that you could carry out with you in your mobile or pill, or you are able to just get the PDF's and printing them from paper.
With Vert Shock the dunk only look easy.

Firstly, just let them airdry, or put them on a fan. with some dryer sheets inside of em so they don't smell. And secondly, the best thing you can do is run, get some serious cardio, and just play lot's of volleyball. Good luck!
