    They didn't. Who told you they did? Yoghurt was completely unknown in ancient Egypt. Paints were made by mixing natural mineral pigments such as chalk, ochre, arsenic sulphate, haematite, malachite, copper silicate, cobalt salts or charcoal with water and egg-white, sometimes adding gum arabic (tree sap) or beeswax as a thickener and binder.
