What does it mean to have a dream of drowning and getting saved by a friend?
Okay I had a dream one of my close friends that I haven't talked to in a while saved me from some type of swamp thing we were trying to get across. I recently been doing a lot of thinking since me and my ex have been dating again but not going out just a lot of confusion does that have anything to do with my dream?

Yes, Emma, your conflicted feelings are the cause of the dream.
"Drowning" in your dream is a metaphor of being overwhelmed. The "swamp" is the the situation that causes you to feel as if you are sinking into confusion.
The close friend in the dream might represent someone who might see your situation more clearly or provide a better perspective. The dream could be directing you toward that specific friend, OR it might suggest finding somebody -like- this friend who cares about you, has known you for a long time, and with whom you would feel comfortable discussing your feelings.

I suggest talking and hanging out with your friend again. It could be that she could help you with your confusion. Plus, i think a part of you misses hanging out and talking with her, and perhaps you dreamed of her helping you through the swamp because you want her help with the the confusion that you are feeling.
