What filter should I buy for my 55 gallon tank?
I am thinking about getting a SECOND filter for my tank.

I have ammonia problems in my tank. I am thinking about getting the same one for 10 gallon tanks as a second filter. Would it be a waste of money should I get different filter? If yes, which do you recommend ?

2 years running not a new tank. Cleaned the filter too much and overfed the fish.

AquaClear filters are the best HOB filters on the market, though they have lower flow rates and cost more than Aqueons. If you want, you can get another Aqueon and modify it with biological media and sponges (along with your current one). If money is not an object, you should get a canister filter. They beat any HOB filter on the market, though expensive and hard to maintain.
