remove battery and any memory cards and/or SIM cards..
place into a sealed bag of rice for a day or two.. the longer the better..
cross fingers... hope that you saved your phone... you can not always save a phone that has been water damaged...
post your questions for cell phones in the cell phone section.. a blackberry is not a LAND PHONE

first don't turn it on! adding electricity to a wet phone is a BAD idea
1. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT
2. TAKE THE SIM CARD OUT
3. dry the inside of the phone with a towel. dry the sim card. and the battery.
4. wrap the phone, battery and sim card in a seperate towel
make sure that all 3 items are kept in a room temperature controlled area, DON'T PUT IT ON A RADIATOR.
wait for about 24-48 hours, the longer the better, i left mine for a week, the fact that the phone was in the water for that long means that you should probably try and leave it for close to 2 weeks.
don't charge the phone/battery.
when you feel that the phone has dried out put it back together and turn it on.
beware of rust, there is pretty much nothing you can do but dropping your phone in the water will shorten the life span of it drastically.
also if you purchased the phone from a store and you have a warrenty or a guarentee, or even have insurance for the phone try and claim on that.
failing that, go to a high street phone store if it still isn't working and ask them if they can fix it (there might just be one component that needs replacing)

Remove the battery, sim card, leave the cover off. Dry everything with a towel then place the phone into a bowl of UNCOOK rice making sure your phone is totally covered. Leave in the rice for at least 48 hours. Hopefully the rice will absorb all the moisture.

Please do no longer use the oven approach simply by fact it does no longer do away with the residues and sediment left over from evaporation. The insurance will regularly examine interior the telephone for a water/humidity comfortable sticky label that variations colour while moist. If the colour variations, they'll deny a replace. the terrific factor you're able to do ideal now's to do away with the battery and then dip the cellular telephone in alcohol. this might do away with the residue and sediment, on a similar time as encouraging the comfortable electronics to dry out, considering the fact that alcohol is hydrophobic (hates water). once you dip it in alcohol (sparkling isopropyl), go away the telephone in a cool, dry place so as that the alcohol can evaporate. a pair of days (3 or extra) might desire to do the trick. Insert the battery into the telephone and it would artwork. in case you experience that the telephone might nonetheless be moist, do no longer take your possibilities; merely wait some days till you're effective that it will artwork. i attempted this as quickly as I dropped my telephone in a swimming pool and have been given it working after some days after appearing the alcohol dip. reliable success!!!
