What are the chances of a One World Government?

It already exists. They just make us think we are all against each-other/seperated

Honestly, the odds of that happening solidly depend on what happens this year. Will the economy ever _Ever_ get better for ordinary people, in developed nations or not? Will there be more peace on this Earth, or more warfare and acts of terror instead?

Answer those two questions for the rest of this year, into early 2012, and you'll know the odds better than anyone. As it stands right now, we have the technology and the legal protocols in place to do it--but not the political will. And some of that is because we're on the verge of more than a few tipping points, and we don't _know_ what crossing over to the other side of them will do.

I wouldn't root for it to happen though. I truly wouldn't. Because really, the answer for a One World State is the same answer you'd get, solving for the United States: Who do you want to take over, the Chinese or the Arabs? Which dictatorship do you want shoved down your throat? Pick your poison, basically--neither outcome is going to be any good compared to what it replaces.

It's pretty much impossible for that.
