Almost crashed friend's car?
I am sixteen. I do not have my permit yet and have only driven once (about a year ago). My friend Kyla was teaching another friend of mine, Amy, to drive. After Amy drove for a while, Kyla, asked if I wanted to drive. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. I also told her I wasn't experienced. I drove around an empty parking lot for a while. She wanted me to go into this small parking lot (about 8 spaces). I wasn't comfortable with it, but eventually went in. They really pressured me into it. Which is unusual for me because I never follow others from pressure. I don't do drugs, drink, anything. And trust me, it's been offered. Anyways. She wanted me to park. I had NEVER parked before. It was bad, obviously. I went into reverse with no problems. When I went to straigten out slowly, I lost control of the car. I put my foot on the break and the car wouldn't stop. The small parking lot was kind of on a slight hill, about 2 feet up and not very steep. The car eventually stopped at the bottom. By the way, BEFORE the car went off my foot was on the break. I have no idea why it would't stop. Kyla and Amy both said they were fine and after inspection the car looked fine. I told Kyla if there was any damage to her car whatsoever to let me know and I would pay for it. She said she was sure her subaru was fine since it was on four wheel drive and only went over a curb and some rocks. But I still feel HORRIBLE. I am scared that she will have damage to her car or they will develop whip lash. I am so sorry and I just don't know what do even though kyla said she wasn't at all mad and that it could've happened to anyone. Please help. And do not tell me I shouldn't have been driving, I already know. Any advice is appreciated.

Physics ... my friend ... Physics ! !
You see you went off of a curb. Generally, whip-lash is the result of moving at a reasonable speed - - say 45 mph and you are hit from behind. This causes your entire body to suddenly go forward and your head to recoil backward from the forward position. That places such a sudden strain on your neck that you get injured muscles and vertabrae in the neck - called Whip-lash.
My father had this many years ago in his car accident - he was hit head on when the other driver crossed the lane in a factory lunch truck.
You are shaken up that the unexpected happened to you - - it would not stop.
The obvious reason is that even though your foot was on the brake you did not apply enough pressure to stop the vehicle - it takes a little bit of time to get used to this pressure of the pedals thing. Do not sweat this - - this is exactly what happened to me the second time i was out years ago...a month later it was old news to me and everyone else. .. .

sure apologise. Then do not borrow. See what can ensue?via no fault of your very own you have been placed into an awfull nightmare. The worst element that could desire to ensue befell. in case you wanna dance you're able to desire to pay the band. in case you wanna borrow you're able to desire to pay the guy. it relatively is a Rocky quote. regardless of the undeniable fact that it relatively is actual.

What's your question. There's no damage and anything, what's there to be worried about?
