How often should you use flea and tick preventer?
I wanted to know how often you should use frontline plus. Online it says that for just a 6 pack it is $100. How long should that last for a small dog.

You apply it once per month. Not more often or it can hurt the dog. Get the one for your dogs weight. They make different strenghs for different sizes of dog. Do some price comparisons online as the price can vary a lot from site to site.

It's a once a month application but you need to get the right one for your dog. It goes by weight. 6 pack for $100?? That's insane. Take a look around ebay for sellers that sell it. I used to get a 6 pack of frontline plus from a guy in Australia for $40.

Other are right prices vary form store to store and brand to brand. This months issue of Consumer Reports Magazine suggests that PetArmor Plus sold at Walmart for $28 for 3month supply was a very good deal. (Same active ingeredients as Frontline)
A product with the active ingredients of filpronil and S-methroprene is very effective against fleas. If you can find a copy of this magazine read it. This issue has some good tips on how to save money on pets.Avoid any $9 flea products they are not as effective or dont last as long.

One dose per month. 6 pack is enough for 6 months. But $100 is too much. Lots of places online are far less.
