People to People Student Ambassador Organizations? 10 points to the first good answer!?

Okay, so I got this letter today in the mail offering me the opportunity to be a student ambassador with the People to People Student Ambassador Organizations, or P2P.

I've never heard of the program, so I have a few questions.

1.) Is it reliable?

2.) Is it a scam?

3.) About how expensive is it?

    I think I've heard of that before one of my friends is doing it but I don't have any personal experience with it.
