Can i convert from windows vista ultimate to windows vista home basic?
I had got my laptop formatted and installed the windows vista ultimate and now its saying that the version is not genuine so i want to install back the windows vista home basic for which i have the product key and is genuine.

well vista home basic is better,uses less system resources, i installed home basic on my windows 7 laptop and it uses less RAM and other system resources. all you need to do it to put the vista home basic disk in, and then install it. turn your computer off, then turn it on, go to the boot menu(usually f11 or f12.when you turn your computer on, hit those buttons.then scroll down to dvd/cd drive and hit enter.follow the directions). if you need more help,contact me

Yes of course you can. Just installed the vista home basic and you will be good. And if you like, you can search for a crack for your vista ultimate.
