Can i join the army with ADHD?

i have mild adhd and i was wondering if that will disqualify me for joining the army. If it will i probably wont even report it at MEPS.

    If there's an army with ADHD I don't think you should join that army.

    Oh wait I see what you're saying. No just don't tell them about it. It's an imaginary disease anyway. I'm sure you'll find the training very therapeutic.

    Yes it will disqualify you if you are still on medication or under a doctor's supervision. You must also be off meds, by a doctor's orders, for 1 year before going to MEPS.

    I think not reporting it is an excellent idea! They won't do anything to you when it is found out and diagnosed again that you are ADHD. You will have only lied on a federal job application and enlisted in the military under fraudulent circumstances. I see that working out very well in your favor! (Total sarcasm if you couldn't guess.) You could very well be prosecuted for lying to the feds... would it be worth it? Also, when they do the background check, guess what they'll find???? There is no way around it but just failing to bring it up.

    Don't listen to the trolls.

    Most likely you wouldn't be able to. If you are off your medication for at least 1 year or more, then maybe.
