Nope, I don't think it's stupid. Maybe the person who asked the question really didn't know the answer. Maybe the person haven't seen any Indians with a gf or wife that isn't Indian. :)

Not stupid, bit it could be asked in a much less race insensitive based way. For example, "What are the cultural and religious norms for a man from India dating outside a common race?"

When I lived in the large urban centres (cities) ethnic mixing was quite commonplace. Out in the 'sticks' where I live now the greater concerns are that first cousins do not pair off.

People off any ethnicity are welcome here if only to add diversity to the gene pool. Unfortunately we have more people leaving than there are arriving.

There is nothing wrong with dating a bf/gf who is a other Ethnic origin. The main thing is that they are happy and in love.
