If you have an ulcer ...?
Ok dont tell me anything about what i might have. I know for a fact the dr has told me i have an ulcer. I went to givd blood one time though and told them i have an ulcer and they said i couldnt because it could be a bleedin ulcer im just wondering if when they say bleeding ulcer is it internal bleeding or can you actually see the blood? Btw 1) im a girl and 2) im asking this becuse i dont have insurance so i cant go to the dr. and this is the 3rd time ive had my period this month and im starting to think its not my period.. If it is possible to see the blood from the ulcer? Any help would be great as long as you not telling me go to the dr. Or do a Pregnancy test

You will have tarry black stools with a bleeding ulcer (from the digested blood). I have had four so far, and have been on Prilosec for over 12 years. It is available over the counter. If you are seeing red blood in the toilet bowl, you may have hemorrhoids.

No the sort of blood you get for a period is not from the stomach. Blood from there would be digested and you would have black smelly tarry poo.
If it bled a lot you might vomit, a sort of 'coffee ground' vomit. You would know something was going on alright.
they would exclude you from giving blood IN CASE you ulcer did bleed and you would then be in danger of becoming anaemic. They refused the precious donation to protect you.
