Origin of names like Topolski....?

where do you think names like Lupinski and Topolski and Stamakinely and others like this originate. I think Russia. I'm not sure though because they are mostly American people with these names.

Topolski : Polish, Ukrainian, Belorussian, and Jewish (from eastern Poland): habitational name for someone from places called Topola or Topole (named with "topola" meaning ‘poplar’), in Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine.

Lupinski : Polish (Lupinski): habitational name for someone from Lupin in Siedlce voivodeship.

Stamakinely looks to me like an Americanized spelling of a Greek surname, maybe a composite name such as Stamokostas meaning ‘Constantine, son of Stamatis’, where Stamos or Stamas are pet forms of the personal name Stamatis, from a personal name based on medieval Greek "stamatō" meaning ‘stop’ (a derivative of classical Greek "histēmi"), an omen name expressing the wish of parents to stop giving birth to girls, or given to a boy after the death of older siblings and meaning ‘stop dying’. Stamatios is the name of two saints venerated in the Eastern Church.
