where do you think names like Lupinski and Topolski and Stamakinely and others like this originate. I think Russia. I'm not sure though because they are mostly American people with these names.

I haven't heard of any of these names as first names and I live in America. They sound like Russian/Polish last names to me.
Apparently, the "ski" ending was a sign of nobility attached to the end of the name.
