Did you Know? (20 characters)?

That impersonating someone is actually illegal, and not just against community guidelines? For example, if I called up pretending to be a famous horse trainer, or even just someone who regularly posted on Yahoo Answers, I could actually end up with the police at my door arresting me for Fraud?

Kinda scary, huh?

Have you ever had someone impersonate you or your horse?

WELL GOLLY MISS MOLLY.....is it really illegal? Lawl thought it was just illegal in Yahoo land.

One of the accounts was just deleted. No doubt they'll be back, but no one believes them anyway. They provide more lulz than anything.

You're only getting arrested if you cause monetary damage or slander.

These impersonators are not charging people money to think they are Fennec nor are they hurting Fennec's reputation since they can't even type with a proper vernacular.

Just let them make us laugh... no harm done.

*sigh* It seems like I've missed some action this morning. *stirs her coffee*

I've been impersonated twice, once where I had to prove it was me to the YAT by verifying the artist and title of the painting that I use for my Avatar. I've also had two serious stalkers, one who found out where I lived and called me threatening to show up and kill me. I told him I had a Rottweiler and a load full of buckshot with his name on it and surprisingly he never showed up. :)

*sips her coffee* If the accounts don't drop soon I'll take them to the YAT myself. They aren't harming much because you can tell it's a lark but it's still a major violation, and you are correct, actually illegal.

    I didn't know that.

I have blocked the impersonator so I know who the real Fennec is - trust me, you can tell even if it is a little confusing seeing two of them (one knows one end of a horse from the other and the other hasn't even touched a horse or even smelt horseshit)

i have never had someone impersonate me but it always happens, as soon as your on the internet or some kind of social networking site you have a chance of getting impersonated, its so easy for someone to do , just change the name or don't evan bother , copy your pics, your story , ETC.

Anyone without parents who are also related would be able to see how clear it is that they're terrible at faking it anyway. Fennec's also too foxy for the faker.
