Why am I having my period every other week? Should I be concerned?
My periods have always been irregular but not this irregular. Is this a common problem? I get my period for like 4-5 days with bad cramps and then it stops for a week then comes back for another 4-5 days. It's really starting to piss me off. I just saw my OBGYN a few weeks ago and she said not to be concerned since I'm young. She did no tests or anything.

I would definitely be concerned. You're only supposed to get your period once a month. Then again, I'm not a doctor, so your obgyn could be right. I would get a second opinion from a different doctor just to be sure.

Well if it's your first few years there is nothing to be worried about. The problem will sort itself out, your period going wonky isn't unusual, but every other weak is defiantly irregular. My friend gets her period every four months for one month. If you are still worried go to a different doctor and ask for a test to be done.
