Is it posssible to separate the "Green movement" from politics?

Does one have to be a "bleeding heart liberal" to reject fossil fuel use/abuse?

Update:

@Larry L One can 'make policy' without being a government official if one simply agrees with a view in regard to non-renewable resources? That does not sound accurate.

The green movement was not at all a political activity to begin with. Then the leaches in office saw people catching on to the idea and it actually making a difference. Some decided to claim the green movement for themselves while others decided to point out how bad it was because corporations weren't making such a big profit anymore.

Unfortunately I would have to say NO

You can always do your part with the 3Rs

    That always helps

Electing gov't officials who feel the same way is one of the few options.

I walk, bike or use public trans to get to where I need to go

"Does one have to be a "bleeding heart liberal" to reject fossil fuel use/abuse?"

    Nope.

But if you somehow compel ME to reject fossil fuel use/abuse based on YOUR beliefs, then you are making policy*.

    * Hence you've made it political.
