2010-11 Vancouver Canucks or 1993-94 Vancouver Canucks?

The 2010-11 team is better than the 1993-94 team.

Well, we're talking about two very different teams here. The 1993-1994 Canucks were 7th Seed in the West and overcame a 3-1 series deficit. Their opponent, the NY Rangers had clearly better stats than them and were President's Trophy winners, at the time. Despite the stats, it was just amazing how far the Canucks went and hard work and dedication was a part of that.

The 2010-2011 Canucks were known as the best team in the Regular Season. They won the President's Trophy, so they had the most points and clinched the first seed in the West. They had amazing stats. Set a new Franchise record of 54 wins. But, just couldn't win it all...The Bruins really stepped it up in that series and won, end of story.

And I believe the 2010-2011 Canucks were the better team. The injuries and line changes apparently had a big affect on the team. But, they ended up going as far as they did, which was quite amazing.

2010-2011: Very talented and seems to feel entitled to the Cup and therefore didn't work for it... and had serious mental breakdowns because of it. Played well in the first two games of every playoff series and hit the skids in virtually every series... Forwards to the goalie to the defense, all of them collapsed. It seemed like they got angry that they were not given the games instead of being emotional for what they wee losing. The thing is that we have seen the same performance for the last 3 post-seasons.... okay, so they reached the Finals but they almost lost to a very depleted Hawks' team and they had the best cakewalk the rest of the way in the playoffs for any team for years. It was the Canucks's Finals to lose and they found a way to lose it and they did it in big-time failure mode. Again, we have seen this kind of collapse multiple times from THIS Canucks team.

1993-1994: Less talented but grateful for the chance. A work ethic that the above team could only dream about having. Poised and mentally tough.

I'd bet on the Canucks of 1993-94 over 2011 anytime.

Given the length of the NHL's grueling playoff series you have to have the mental stength to win a Cup.... I don't see that at all with 2011's team. Their leaders are not that tough mentally.

The 2011 Canucks would hammer the '94 Canucks. Not only are the '11 Canucks far more talented, but the '94 team lost to the Rangers; that tells you all you need to know.

Considering the 2010-11 season, Canucks won the Presidents Trophy, hands-down 2010-11. And for all you people saying Canucks "choked", they were simply outplayed and considering they made it to the SCF and lost in Game 7, thats not the definition of "choke".
