I'm going to threaten legal action towards barclays but have no intention of going to court will I leave?

Myself open to getting in to any trouble? I just want to scare them a little

    There is nothing illegal about threatening a lawsuit, but if you do tell them that you are going to take them to court, they may just try and beat you to the punch.

    They will probably just call your bluff. You're not going to scare them at all.

    As in you have no intention of suing, or no intention of turning up after initiating action?

    Threatening legal action is not a crime - they will probably not do anything about it, frankly.

    Until you hire a lawyer and the lawyer threatens legal action, they will very likely ignore your threats.

    just sue them. you dont have to go to court, but they will. and they will spend alot of money on lawers. i actually do this all the time to big companies, except i go to court. it only costs 11 dollars to sue someone, and i never hire a laywer. but the people i sue do, and i just usually want to piss them off and make them waste money for wronging me. its fun !

    You won't scare them. They might counter sue if the lawsuit is very frivolous.
