    For appearance preferences. Not because their tails can get caught on things, no. People just like the look of a docked tail better than a natural long tail on this breed, therefor they are cut.

    You should expand on your question a bit so it makes more sense. Rotweilers and pit bulls will have a full length tail, but rotweilers tails ussually get docked so it looks like they have a short tail.

    No, tails do not make the dog, some dogs have had their tails bred out for aeatethic reasons, others for health reasons, it doesn't matter if its a pit or a jack russel
