Are flash-mobs ALWAYS scheduled?

Are flash-dance-mobs always planned? I know some have a specific date. But arnt there some that are just totally random?

Like in big cities? You just bring a jukebox and play a popular dance song people just start dancing! Completely, totally, not planned, random dancing...?

    Real ones are more impromptu but still publicised via flashmob networks.

    Pretend ones - commercial ones and Guinness book of records type ones are highly organised.

    A dance group one can be either, or totally impromptu.

    You'd have to have one helluva a personality to turn up on your own and just start - and get others joining in.
