Would I be responsible for lot rent owed on a foreclosed mobile home?

I live in North Carolina. I found a mobile home that had been foreclosed on in a small mobile home park. Green Tree is going to auction it online. If I won the auction and purchased the mobile home, would I be responsible for paying the back lot rent? It's at $1000 now. I will be moving it to my own land. Thanks!

Green Tree requires the mh park to sign a release of claims before they but it on the park. hopefully they did. They can't hold it for ramson.

You have to ask the mobile home park. If they say "yes" and you then want to double-check whether they're telling the truth, consult a local lawyer about that. But first search Google for "North Carolina mobile home law" to see if any websites can give you insights.

Call as ask the mobile home park. I doubt it, since you are not the one who owes. But once you buy it you will have to be ready to move it immediately or pay lot rent.
