Night life on Oahu (Honolulu/Waikiki) will not be a problem! Keep in mind, Honolulu is the 11th largest city in the U.S. and very metropolitan. And, because of it being such an international destination, there are dozens and dozens of excellent restaurants of almost every ethnicity you could want to eat.

You will also find more than a dozen nightclubs, most of which are right there in Waikiki. You can also take a dinner cruise, attend a luau, or even sign up for a ghost walk tour (if you're into that sort of thing).

As for the Big Island, the three things that come to mind would be a night dive with the Manta Rays, you can check with your hotel front desk for details on that. There are several companies that offer these dives.

A night visit to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. There are often times when you can't see much but steam during the day, but that all changes as it gets darker and the glow from the lava within turns everything a bright orange. (Dress warm if you do go as it gets chilly and drizzle in the area is frequent.)

Finally, you could go up to the visitors center on Mauna Kea. Go early enough you can enjoy the view during daylight but the stars will never appear brighter than they do at 10,000+ feet with no city lights to interfere...that's part of the reason why there are more observatories on Mauna Kea than any other single location in the world.

There are a few luaus offered in the Kailua-Kona area as well, if you want to check one of those out. Have a great time and enjoy your visit!

= Oahu's North Shore coastline is lavished with unspoiled white sand beaches bordering a lengthy coastline frequented by world class surfers. Horseback riding, whale watching, summer swimming and Oahu snorkeling are favored activities. Small town charm is mixed with raw island beauty in this peaceful alternative to Waikiki Beach where simply touring the area is one of the most enjoyable and also free things to do in Oahu.

    Polynesian Cultural Center

The Polynesian Cultural Center is one of the most famous stops during vacations in Hawaii. The cultural center extends the luau experience to new heights and offers a day full of musical performances, traditional palm climbing, Hawaiian fare and many other exciting activities.

    Dole Plantation

A visit to the famous Dole Plantation is a favorite of family things to do in Oahu. Families can walk through the world's largest garden maze, ride the Pineapple Express throughout the grounds and participate in the plantation garden tour.

    Oahu Beaches

The primary draw for tourists is visiting the stunning Oahu beaches scattered along each of the island's shorelines. One of the best things to on Oahu is beach-hop to discover flourishing coral reefs, extinct volcanoes and beautiful backdrops along with plenty of water sports. Visiting the beaches is also one of the best free things to do in Oahu.
