What does a 1 wing '82 Coleman pop up camper weigh?
I am looking at buying a 1982 Coleman-1 wing-pop up camper. I think it might be a Jamestown model, sleeps 4 with one wing bed. I have a Toyota Matrix with a max total of 1500lbs tow weight. I am hoping this pop up camper is about 800lbs. I can't find the dry weight anywhere. It takes a 1 7/8" ball hitch.
Does anyone know? thank you

Some where on the trailer should be a small metal plate with the weight stamped into it usually it is on the drivers side of the trailer or centered above the hitch. One solution is to have it weighed take it to a truck weight stop and then you will know its exact weight. I would do this any way whether you buy it or not so that you know how much gear you could load up in it. Also the matrix's warranty may get voided if you tow over it's weight limit. Good Luck!
