Need some break up advice, badly =D!?
Well, i just broke up with my girlfriend of 2 1/2 years last week, its been pretty rough, as anyone who has been in a serious break up knows.
The thing is, she was my first proper girlfriend, and i can't really seem to detach myself from her, as much as i would like too.
The relationship just wasn't working, she was fighting with my friends and i didnt have much freedom, and i dont want to get back with her.
But... I just can't seem to bring myself to throw away the pictures of us and stuff, just in case =/,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and rewarded! =D
Feel free to link to your question and ill answer it too!
Thanks in advance =)

It's the old cliche- all it takes is time. Try to stay busy and social, and do things that make you happy. It's completely understandable to want to hang on to mementos, and harbor those "just in case" type of feelings, and someday in the future you might like going through pictures just for fun and memories. A breakup after a serious relationship is very hard, but it does get better day by day. Good luck!

Do not throw anything away - it is a very bad idea - later, in just 20-40 years you may regret it because it is like erasing part of your life. Just put all the gifts, photos etc into a carton box, seal it and place in the attic.

Well, its because people cannot just turn off there feelings overnight.
Relationship are not that balck and white.
You spent 2 and a half years together, a long time, so it will take you time to adjust to being without her.
In a couple of months you will be absolutely fine.

If you can't throw those things away it means you still have feelings for her -__- why break up with a girl when you still have feelings for her..
