What other methods can you use to do Blackened Fish?
I don't have a cast iron pan, so I'm looking for options. Is a Broiler going to be hot enough? A BBQ grill?

broiler is gonna toastt the hell out of the outside and leave in inside raw, you can grill just make sure to oil the grill surface well and be preppared to have some of the seasoning come off, if you were to broil till black then finish in the oven you would be fine as well

You can use a regular frying pan if that is what you have, you can also use the barbecue grill. I've never used the broiler so I don't know about that.
