You can even put ads through this AdSense product of Google. And, since blogger is managed by Google, you can completely trust these ads. It's like paid-per-click. The difficult part is always MAINTAINING your website/blog. For it to be in the top searches, you have to keep updating with new tags and new articles. I've heard about Wordpress too but I haven't really used it. Blogger shows you your stats and stuff. Pretty clean and neat way to manage your website. Only thing is that the url will be something like this - yourwebsite'sname.blogspot.com. However to remove the blogspot, you'll have to pay a few dollars or so. Btw, what will your website be about? And also remember that it's a hectic thing especially if you have other things to do like school work.
