turning off an iphone with a broken screen?
So the screen is broke on my iphone 3gs. I have a replacement coming tomorrow but the phone is still turned on. It still vibrates when I flick the silent switch on the left of the handset.
I dont want to open it up when it is still powered on but I don't know how to turn the iphone off with the broken screen.
Ive done a reset but it is still powered on after because its only resetting it!!!
Dont really want to take the battery out as this requires removing the motherboard.

You cannot correctly turn it off. But you can crash it by pressing and holding the 'lock' button and the 'home' button. I know it works on IPhone 4 as I have one myself but it probably will work on IPhone 3GS
