Does this make any sense?

The government and all of these doctors say that second hand smoke can kill you. So its illegal indoors and some outdoor areas as well. So I heard on the news that they said that there is no direct link from the first responders of 9/11 and cancer. How is this possible when they inhaled all of that debris with who knows what in it?

Long-term intake of second hand smoke is linked to lung cancer. The first responders of the 9/11 attack were exposed short-term. That is the difference. Although, I am not disagreeing with the 9/11 responders' claims.

There's a difference between cigarette smoke and debris from collapsing buildings. They may have other medical conditions but not necessarily cancer.
