What is Christchurch like after the earthquakes?

Does it still function? is it a ghost town? can people still visit it? Does the railway station still work?

As someone living in Christchurch, we have grown since the awful earthquake(s) in which we have suffered through. It does still function, fortunately! We just go on with our normal lives and go to school or to work (if you still have a job). It isn't a ghost town at all, people can sure still visit it! The only place we are not allowed to go is in the red zone, which is the city centre. This is for obvious reasons - buildings have fallen down all over the place! Its really sad to not be able to go into the city, but there are other places that we can go to shop and visit that aren't in the city :) Yes, the railway station does still work :)

There is damage, all around of course. But the city is slowly reopening. You can visit it however there are some areas that are off limits in the CBD. (the red zone) A lot of people there are Loyal to there city and more then a shaky ground will get them to move, so there are people all around. Quite a bit of the outer towns are functioning again.
