Who increased the nation's debt more Bush or Obama?

So which President actually created the larger debt?

Update:

Just so you know:

Bush $7.0 trillion

Obama $1.4 trillion

Simple math shows us the answer. Bush.

Update 3:

doctdon where have I been?, paying attention and letting research and facts take precedent, not the typical BS from the extreme right.

Bush. For some reason, the childish neo-cons think that a president's malfeasance ends on the last day of office. Bush broke the economy and broke it good.

TARP was done by Bush and put on Obama's tab.

Add to that the fact that he put UNDER THE TABLE SPENDING on Medicare Part D AND the Wars back ON THE TABLE (and the books), then you get a fairer look at how much Obama wasn't responsible for.

Source(s): The "all presidents combined" claim is a slick lie. EVERY PRESIDENT spent more money than all Presidents before them. It's complete bull*****. Obama didn't spend more than ALL the spending added together - don't be friggin ridiculous. Any 6 year old can prove that wrong in 2 seconds by looking at any budget site.

I believe that Bush did. I can't see the two wars that he got us in coming cheap. The bottom line is all has spent money in places that it did belong.

Kind of unfair question considering Obama spent his first two years paying off all the debts that Bush left on the table, not to mention two wars and a recession.

Bush by 4 trillion more at this point. The last year of the Bush presidency the deficit was 1.2 trillion dollars. Every one thinks that spending has increased while forgetting that revenue has fallen by one trillion dollars per year.

Bush-he stated TWO wars and created the policies that are still to this day adding to our debt resulting in it looking like Obama added to the debt although it WAS in FACT bush.

currently it's Bush, but he did that over eight years. Obama has increased the debt almost as much in 2.5 years and is on track to increase it an additional $6 trillion.

bush...remember, @ 85% of the debt that Obama is dealing with was implemented by GW Bush (revenue cuts, wars, medicare part d, etc., etc.). A big chunk of the remaining debt was due to the economic collapse...

President Obama tripled the national debt in SIX MONTHS.

    Do the math.
