Travel To Croatia: Staying there a month.?
Next summer going to Croatia to see some friends and family. How much will Anthony and I need to save since we want to stay there about a month. We will have the children with us so we need at least a 2 bedroom villa. We would like to stay within 45 minutes of Zagreb City Center.
Slike Zrce Papaya Festival has bungee jumping, and many water activities. I want to go to the festival but also want to be able to spend time at Plitvnik National Park, and the city center of Zagreb. But what other activities are there to do and what places are good to stay at in Dubrovnik,Zagreb,Pag.

Zagreb is good for only few days, 2-3 max, but beaches are really cool and almost everybody comes here because of them. As you're with kids you will like that much better than to stay in a city.
You can rent apartments for 30-50 euros on a beach. I always stayed cheaper but you have kids so you may want something a bit better. You can check my experiences here http://www.squidoo.com/my-3-most-favorite-places-t... and here http://www.squidoo.com/discover-pula-croatia
Hope that helps.
Word of note: be careful with taxis - they will overcharge you 3-5 times if you do not negotiate rate first. And everyone speaks english

Hi Elicia,
Croatia has a very developed tourist industry and there are really plenty of accommodation websites where you can check out for the villas prices. They are usually clearly listed so just google with your particular place of stay, and make the research of your choice. One useful site to start from, http://www.adriatica.net/
Residing in Dubrovnik has plenty of options both in the town itself and the suburbs, it's really a very popular destination so you'll find a lot to do as well. Do not reside in the old town because of the crowds of tourists, yet do visit it for sure, it's a UNESCO historical site worth seeing apart from being a terrific experience itself. You can also visit the surrounding islands by boat and go to the beach there. Check out these articles about Dubrovnik and the islands with my personal experience and further useful statistics,

As for what i know about Pag, it is mostly a camping site so you can use to have the classic family vacation there enjoying a completely satisfying rest.
* Croatia has most of its tourism oriented towards the sea.
I run a sea-related website and a fan page you might find interesting,

Hope all helps, good luck!
