iTunes library erased!?

so my dad had to reboot my whole computer because of security problems so everything in my computer was erased including the contents of my itunes library, playlists, etc. so whenever i sync my ipod to my computer, it shows nothing on my music library, but if i click on sync, it says "My ipod is synced with another itunes library(my previous one b4 my dad rebooted my computer). Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library?" now ofcourse i don't, so is there any way i could transfer my already existing contents of my ipod to this new itunes liabrary/account?

Update:

oh and ps, i forgot my itunes store account----if it's any help to my problem..

and pss, i did managed to get my store-bought stuff(tv shows) from my ipod to this library, but not the songs or playlist

Many iPod users have asked this.

It won't be a problem if you use this iPod to Computer/iTunes Transfer.

It automatically transfers your iPod and iPhone music, video, photo, playlist to computer and iTunes. Backup all your music and video in a couple of clicks. Really makes music and videos sharing pretty simple and enjoyable. Wish this can help and good luck.

I think its step by step guide is most helpful.

Hello, I know several people in Afghanistan that ran into this same issue or one similar to it while out on deployment. So I looked into this and found that a program called Total Commander using a plug-in called T-Pot could be used to gain access to the deeply hidden files on the newer Ipod/Iphone to transfer music from the Ipod to the computer. The t-pot information can be found at http://code.google.com/p/t-pot/ for what it is and what it does. Now for the info you really need. There is a youtube video that explains how to get Total Commander and the T-pot plug-in. In advance this is not my video, one I searched in Youtube. But works well enough. Pause the video to read the info if it is going to fast. Thanks!

When I got a new laptop for Christmas I transferred my library from the old computer to iPod to new laptop. The program DiskAid worked just fine for me.

Nope. iTunes will only transfer from PC to iPod. You cannot transfer from iPod to PC.
