Help with IPhone 3G downgrade?

Ok so I have a jailbroken IPhone 3gs and I had problems restoring it when it was 4.0. Long story short I updated it to 4.3.5 after wanting to punch an infant because itunes would not let me restore it to anything else. But of course what's an IPhone if it's not jailbroken (untethered). So I wanna downgrade it to 4.3.3 but I keep getting error 3194. Now I have updated itunes, went to Tinyumbrella, and followed everything this http://cydiahelp.com/2011/07/26/how-to-downgrade-i... has said and still have made absolutely no progress.

so help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say the only thing you can do is just wait until there is a new jailbreak made for the 4.3.3 firmware. I had that once too where I was downgrading my iPhone 3G (or at least trying to) to an older firmware but iTunes kept giving me an error. I'm sure a jailbreak will be made available sometime in the near future. I even thought I heard the new iOS 5 software thats coming out this fall was supposedly already jailbroken by developers who make jailbreaks(obviously :P).

It must be a 3GS, because the 3G can only go up to 4.2.1. If you have your SHSH Blobs saved in Cydia you can downgrade. If not you are out of luck. You don't have to manually edit the host file. Just run TinyUmbrella and make sure set hosts to Cydia and request SHSH from Cydia boxes are checked in the advanced tab in TinyUmbrella when restoring to your desired firmware in iTunes with TinyUmbrella running.

Remember you have to you SHSH blobs backed up for this to work.
