To whom does Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales owe $30,000?
I heard that he owes a colleague a personal loan of $30K, but I'd need to see substantive proof.
My need, as with all free culture zealots, is that "information wants to be free".
My financial details are not a matter of public record. I believe Wales' are.

There is this crazy dude called Gregory Kohs who has combed through piles and piles of publicly available documents and figured out that Jimbo Wales owes former business partner Gil Penchina that amount, give or take a few cents.
I believe he's also dug up what the Jimbomeister will be paying in alimony, but that's crossing the line, in my opinion.

I seriously doubt that amount. 30K? No way. Who'd loan Jimbo that amount? I certainly wouldn't. Couldn't, actually, but that's beside the point. What's probably happened is he borrowed, say, 50 dollars to start up an "iffy" site years ago from a sleazy loanshark who didn't properly explain to Jimbo the theory of compound interest and the deadly consequences of delayed and/or non-repayment. Good luck, Jimbo.

To no one. YOU owe the holy Jimbo Wales $300,000. But if you pray unto Jimbo, He may see it fit to forgive your debt to Him.

This is on a "need to know basis" only. What is your need?

Mr Wales personal records are no more a matter of public record than yours are just because you "believe" them to be. Can you show substantive proof otherwise?
I believe it is about time for your alter ego "Moses" to appear.

Why would Jimbo Wales' financial details be a matter of public record? He isn't an elected or appointed government official.
I'd like to know if you or any of your other friends at Wikipedia Review owe any money to anyone. Chances are that none of you even earn enough money to be able to repay someone $30,000.

Why would you care about someone else's personal loan?
"information wants to be free". - Balls - post your bank details and we'll all have a poke around in it.

There are so many sock-puppets on Wikipedia, he probably lent the money to himself without realizing it. (And since he's also a Republican, he's probably refusing to pay it back now, too!)
