Significant differences between inverted sugar syrup and high fructose corn syrup?

Is any of them slightly healthier?

    First off - neither is healthy. One of the problems with HFCS is that it somehow made sugar seem healthy, simply because it's not as bad.

    Inverted sugar syrup is "less unhealthy" than HFCS. It's just sugar that's cooked with an acid like citric acid (lemon juice).

    Then there's the whole issue of how HFCS and corn products have migrated into almost everything we eat from french fries to ice cream, the money spent annually on propping up the price of corn to make it economical to grow could be better used, it tastes different from sugar, leads to fat deposits in the liver, if consumed by babies and toddlers it helps program the brain to crave sweetened foods and the list goes on.
