How do you say you agree with a quote in an essay without just saying "I agree with him" or something..?
I want to make it really clear that I agree with the person who I've quoted, but I don't want to make it redundant/lame-sounding by saying "I agree with so and so..."

Our opinions concerning the matter do not differ. Or... he and I both see this idea from the same prospective. Be careful, though, in quoting someone. Make sure that it isn't an isolated quote meaning it isn't standing on its own without your words before or after it.

Don't use the word "I" in your essay just agree and state why you agree, they already know your the person stating something so just take up your view on it. If your agreeing with the person say something along the lines of "This person is correct because of etc...." or "This person is wrong because of etc..." Its obviously an opinion so you really don't need to state "I".
