They are way overrated.... Va Tech will win again because they are a strong, tough team, and looking at last year at there two, losses, the james madison was just a mental breakdown and the other was to a truely talented and one of the best teams in the country, the Boise State Broncos

The people who say, "FSU lost Christian Ponder, there's no recovering from that," haven't watched FSU. People think because he was a first round draft pick, he's a big loss. Christian did not put up good number last year and did not play that well due to injury. He played much better the year before that as a junior.

There will not be big drop off from Christian to EJ Manuel. EJ was one of the top quarterbacks in the country in his recruiting class.

More importantly, FSU is in the second year of a new coaching staff. Teams almost always improve during the second year of a new coaching staff. Take a look at how well Bob Stoops, Jim Tressel, Gene Chizik, and Nick Saban did in their first years. It wasn't until their second year the teams really improved.

I think it is mostly a one person bandwagon and some others who don't check things out believing that he is being informative instead of just being a true biased fan if you are talking YA. Fifteen would be higher than they are ranked in the preseason guess I saw yesterday.

Edit: I have seen them ranked as high as #4 and as low as #19. Which is the one I saw before reading your post. I just Googled an 11 (cbssports) and a 13(collegefootball...) along with that 4 I just mentioned by bleacherreport. I saw more out of the top ten than in the top ten.

Before they thumbs down an answer, one might want to remember that there are a LOT more than one poll.

I think a good indicator of how good they are is how well they do in their upcoming game with Oklahoma. That will answer a few questions.
