2005 F150 not starting?
i have an 05 F150 4.6 recently, it was getting hard to start, so i took it to get checked out, and they found nothing wrong with it,so they charged me to look at it and sent me on my way. then it wouldn't start at all, so had it towed back there. they changed the fuel pump, charged me $500, and said it was all set.then it started sputtering and stalling out on me in the morning, so i brought it back again. again, there was nothing wrong with it,but they changed the fuel pump again just for "peace of mind" charged me another $100 and said i was all set, and i just went to pick it up, it started up and died and would not start again. so i have 2 questions. 1 any idea what might be wrong with it and 2 is this place ripping me off by charging me when they haven't fixed the truck

They must think they can charge you all day long and not fix the problem! Well they were close but not hot, The problem is (a very common one on this vehicle) the FPDM (fuel pump driver module) Inspect the connection and wiring of the (FPDM) located above the spare tire under the rear of the vehicle. If the connector is corroded, there is water in the module or the module has rusted through. Replace the FPDM and/or connector. The FPDM works in conjunction with the FRP (fuel rail pressure) sensor and regulates the voltage to the fuel pump by a low current signal provided by the PCM!

Well, I have a Ford F-150 too just a 1998. I had the same problem once. I feel like my problem on yours would have already been detected. But, it sounds like you may have an alternater issue. They are very simple to fix and pretty inexpensive to replace. Also too, be weary of your ignition system. Ford is notorious for having coil packs go bad. I'm not even sure you have them in that model. It is apparently not the fuel pump. If it is shaking and sometimes your check engine light comes on, you might have a cylinder not firing. Easy fix. Don't pay for a tune up unless you are due for one. Hope this helps.

Yeah, they are ripping you off for sure. try taking it to a dealership shop, they cost more, but are more likely to actually figure out whats wrong.
As for the actual problem, there are about 100 possibilities and without actually being there its hard to rule anything out.
