Why are there so many fearful questions on Yahoo! Answers?

Is this my imagination or are all the kids running scared?

I feel the fear sometimes in their questions. Confusion and not knowing how to go about finding answers to some of the simple questions in their life. Lack of common sense that maybe comes from age (ongoing question of common sense born with or learned), too much exposure to cyber space, lack of parental involvement, teacher problems-not enough pay, scared of retaliation from students, therefore don't get involved with helping the students, too much freedom, fast paced society. It's there...the fear and running scared.

It's not so much fearful questions as asking about being confused about many things and it does make them fearful..

It does seem that many kids posting questions on here are looking for answers that should be found by asking their parents or a school counselor not strangers on a website. It is sad to see so many that seem to be lacking in any kind of parental interest or direction.

What the heck is a "fearful question"? Seriously. Maybe you should have given an example, because I've never seen anything on here that made me afraid, or was frightening. I recognize the many made up questions that are clearly asked just to stir things up, but never anything frightening. It can't be scary if it's very clearly a made up story. Sadly, some people on here actually believe those stories and respond.

The kids have many of the same questions and fears I've had, as a fifty something, now, but I got my answers from experience and learning about things as I grew up. With the Internet now available, kids don't let experience and time answer their questions. They put them out there as soon as they pop into their head, and we have to read all of the 'why does he stare at me', and, does he like me crap.
