Can you make almond milk with toasted almonds?

Just curious. I've never done it before, and most directions I've found specify raw almonds. I just don't know if they NEED to be raw, or if it's just the fact that most of the websites I've found tend to advocate eating raw foods.

If you boil them and then puree and strain yes, but the milk will be brownish and have a toasted or roasted nut flavour, I make my own soya mil with a soya milk maker, I tried almond milk with it and it was nice also.
