Would this get rid of Samara Morgan from The Ring?

You're mixing fiction with reality and it doesn't always work like that in these type of horror films. Supernatural creatures will not die by natural events. So the answer is no. It's almost like wondering what if you just shoot the creature in the head up close, decapitate it, explode it, chop it, etc.(remember we're talking about THE RING here) The supernatural thing will always find a way to reanimate itself and/or continue haunting. The only way to destroy it is by suspension of disbelief, going along with the dumb storyline of the film and stop thinking.

I'm pretty sure you can't kill what is essentially undead - for all we know she could just hover in midair and turn around and do...whatever it is she does that makes your face all nasty.
