Depending on what kind of settings that mac will have you might see performance changes from one to an other. But all the macbook's can do facebook school work those run with no problems nearly in all the computers downloading music wont be an issue again it depends on the hard drive how much music you want to put in there but yes it will do the job and id recommend going with the 13" its again bigger than the 11" the 11" is just way small in my opinion. Bigger Screen means more space so they could fit in a bigger hard drive a bigger keyboard bigger speakers.

I'd go 13'', has a bigger speaker, meaning better sound quality. With the keyboard you may have a bigger space to mave your hands around as you type. Don't worry you'll get the hang of it :). If you get the 13'' you have a slightly bigger screen so you will get a better viewing experience on facebook. Both are really good for simple multitasking such as schoolwork and internet browsing etc.

I also believe the 13'' has a bigger hard drive so it can hold more. It's just my opinion, but i think you would really like the 13'' more because of it's better entertainment experience.

save some money and get a pc, you could even upgrade and still get a better deal than a mac. as far as security goes, Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes

Either one will be ideal for you...it really depends on what you can afford, but get one with a decent amount of ram and hard-drive...at least 2Gb. Ram and 320Gb. Hard-drive..should do very well..
