How to share a bathroom with 3 other people!?

I am going off to boarding school and 4 of us have to share one bathroom. How the hell am I going to brush my teeth, shower, put on proactiv, and other daily hygeine stuff with the pressure of 3 other people waiting! How do we organize this so that we all get adequate time?

Do you currently live alone? o-O How do you manage to share a bathroom with your family?

Since there are four of you, I recommend that two of you shower at night and two of you shower in the morning, since this is a logic problem that's much easier to solve with only two variables rather than four. Who showers when is entirely up to you.

If, right now, you take more than ten minutes to shower (20 if you shave), use the time you have left this summer to work on showering more quickly. If you have very long, very thick hair that takes a while to wash...your options are 1) cut it short, 2) practice speed-washing, or 3) volunteer to shower at night, when you have more time. Just can't stand the thought of not showering before class? If it's an option, try a dry shampoo to absorb excess oil in the mornings. Unless you were sweating profusely the night before (for whatever reason, I'm not judging), some deodorant will get you through the day.

Brushing your teeth is something that takes five minutes, if you're thorough and use mouthwash. Less if you don't. Unless it's seriously an emergency, your roommates can wait to pee while you brush your teeth.

On a related note, whenever you're in the bathroom your goal should be to get out of it as quickly as possible. Do your business, observe common courtesy and hygiene (i.e., wash your hands and spray air freshener if necessary), and get out of there. This applies to everyone.

What you need to do when you get to boarding school is talk to your roommates. Find out how long it takes each of you to shower and discuss your morning hygiene routines. Figure something out.

You just need to move quickly through your routine. Only do things that require water in the bathroom (hair washing, showering, teeth, washing face). Also, shower at night so you don't have to use it in the morning except for brushing teeth and washing your face. Buy a medium sized mirror and put it on your desk so you can do your hair and make up right there.Assign 20 minutes bathroom time each, or something like that.

    Good Luck
