Friend Home life problems?
A friend of mine is having really bad home life problems, her mom is and always has been an acoholic, getting progressivly wors throughout her life. Her dad hasnt been in her life until she was abt 16, hes had an affair ever since they got back together, so in a nutshell the whole relationship has been a lie. He promised my friend that he would never leave her, never hurt her, and protect her always. Then one day she came home and he was gone, she went to go find him. She confroted him crying and asked why. He replied, your exactly like your mom, and i hate ur mom. He called his daughter a piece of **** who will never achieve anything in life. And she didnt deserve a dad. Now her parents are back together and both of them are acting like nothing happend. Both of her parents get agressivly drunk everynight. She doesnt know what to do. Shes tried counsuling with her mom to talk abt the acoholism and she laughed in her face. She scared, lonley and doesnt know what to do. She crys everyday.... and it kills me

I think maybe you should talk to your parents and see if you can be a safe haven for her in times that are too troubling for her...Maybe one day out of the week when she can stay at yours to give herself a break from her family...It is very hard for an adult to take any advice from a child, especially an adult that obviously has many problems...Just make sure that you tell her that you will always be there for her, and that in no ways is it her fault...Sometimes parents are just not suppose to be parents, there is too much selfishness and stupidity in this world...
