Why was Michael Jordan's supporting cast so overrated?

When I ask people who watched the Jordan era, they all tell me that Jordan played with a bunch of yahoos who without Jordan were average players. Scottie Pippen was great, but it was all because Michael Jordan MADE him great. So all the idiots who say he couldn't win without Pippen, I am pretty sure he would have made someone else on the bulls as good pippen was. Rodman was a great rebounder, and thats about it. Kukoc was overrated and did not do THAT much on the court. Paxton was an average point guard. Harper was ok, not that special. Cartwright was injury prone. As you can see, Jordan did have a decent supporting cast with good role players, but it is no where near as good as the jordan haters make it out to be. Jordan made all these players as good as they were on the bulls. the bulls would not have had 55 win season without Jordan, if jordan didn't teach all the players their roles on the team. Besides, even though they won 55 games, they got out in the second round. Michael Jordan is the GOAT and all the haters are just trolls looking for attention..

So true, its mostly people who try to compare LeBron and MJ (LeBron fanboys) that say Jordan had a great cast. They've seen LeBron fail so much that their trying to find a way to knock Jordan down... but even if his cast was great the only reason they were great was because Jordan made everyone on that team better, and that's what great players do!

His cast was overrated, especially the 1st 3 peat.

You had Pippen who was an all world defender and a good (not great) scorer who did his job setting up the triangle, after that it's just role players.

Don't even mention Horace Grant as this great 3rd option, because he wasnt. Get ready for this; THROUGH THE BULLS 3 TITLE RUNS HE AVERAGED 12 POINTS, 8 BOARDS, 1 BLOCK!!! And people make him out to be an all star when in reality he was a slightly better version of PJ Brown.

The rest of the team was spot up shooters and hustle players.

The 2nd 3 peat was a much more balanced effort, but Jordan was still far and away the best player.

While I agree that MJ was truly an incredible player and better than Lebron, Kobe, etc. I strongly disagree that Jordan was this savant who made the other players around him great. Scottie Pippen would have been a Hall of Famer on any team, and had his best season when Michael sat out. In fact, it was only after Michael left the team that Scottie truly became a great player. Howard Grant was likewise a very solid defender if not truly great, as was Ron Harper.

Try reading The Jordan Rules sometime to learn how he was actually a disruptive influence on the growth of the team, and how his teammates admired his ability but were frustrated with his lack of teamwork.

    Please, stop the idiotic words.

Rodman was a sick defender as well as rebounder. You can't act liek that doesn;t matter much.

The fact that you are still trying to give MJ the credit for the Bulls 93-94 season even though he didn't play on the team just shows how ridiculous MJ fans are.

The fact is, they had a very good season without MJ, don't act like making it to the second round is bad. Take away any other all time great from their team and tell me if they make it past the second round.

When I think of Chicago Bulls, I dont think that Rodman was as important for the Bull franchise. He was only there for 3 years, He was with Detroit for the majority of his career. anyway, You dont even have to say that. When he left to play baseball after his 1st 3 championship seasons, The Bulls sucked. but once he came back they make the finals and win championship. He already proved that they cant win without him.

Some people just can't handle the fact that Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
