How does the thermos flask work?

It has a little man living inside the walls that tells it.

One form of insulation is dead air space, a space with nothing in it. There is the outside of the thermos, some space, and the glass container. So what you put in it hot stays hot, cold stays cold.

It's it says it's a vacuum flask the inner lining is double coated with the air taken out causing a vacuum.
